Summer “Break”

I haven’t posted on here in a while.  Even though this blog was just for a class in the spring, I would like to keep it going as much as I can!  Since I last posted, school has let out for the summer, I was hired as part-time at Clear Channel (Yay!), and I got another summer job close to my house.  I have been busy to say the least.  If I’m not at work, I am at a friend’s house, or out of town.

Summer is in full swing now, and I have been using my time wisely.  I am trying to be and stay productive with my classes next semester, Greek life, and Student Programming Association duties.  When I have free time, I like to see how much I can organize and accomplish so I do not have to worry about it in a few months.  Trust me, this is a great thing because boy do I worry!!

So, even though I do go out of town more than the average person in the summer, I am still one busy girl! But I am still enjoying my summer and I would like to stay connected on my blog (though I may have to change my blog name)!!

Last day…new chapter

Today was my last day as an intern at Clear Channel. I did a little LOT of organizing of the prize closet and other things! It’s a bittersweet feeling because I had so much fun at the station and I’ll miss everyone I worked with. It was a great experience and I learned more than I ever thought I would. This internship was a fantastic idea and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to intern at Clear Channel!

The countdown begins

When I was at the station Monday, I realized that I only have 2 days left of my internship!! Monday was an interesting day considering I got lost, again! But I’ve made improvements believe it or not! Wednesday and next Monday are going to be so fun and I’ll miss being at the station every week! But maybe these next few days won’t be the last there!

Back to Reality…

So I’m back from Spring Break and I’m so sad. I never want to leave the beach because one week is never enough time.  I wish I could go back already!  But now I’m back and working on laundry, school work, and cleaning my room.  I am now looking forward to being done with this semester because I have more beach trips to look forward to!  This upcoming week will be a rough one after vacationing for the past 10 days.  Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday WRNO!

Last night, I worked an event at the Heritage Grill in Metairie that was the 6th birthday party for one of the stations, WRNO. There was food, drinks, cake, a local band, and more people than I thought would show up! I was assigned to be the greeter and then guard the VIP room the rest of the night. The radio station listeners were the ones invited to the party and I think they enjoyed it! I had fun, too! I learned a few things from the people I worked with!

I need a break!

This is totally not related to my blog topic, but I NEED A BREAK! Actually, I need Spring Break! I have been counting the days until spring break since this semester started. Now there’s only two more weeks left and I cannot wait! I am mostly excited about the fact that I’ll be at the beach for a whole week because I love the beach!!! I am soooo excited I can smell the salty air now! I know I’m not the only one who feels like this though. Only two more weeks guys! We can do this!!

Days until Spring Break: 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the Ride!

Aside

I really do love when things fall into place! I learn so much when I am at the Clear Channel office! Every day is something different and I have so much fun working with the people there.  I have grown so much over the past three years since I started college.  The three major things I can think of right now are to take advantage of opportunities when they come knocking, make connections and network with people, and always ask questions! I was never afraid of the first two, but I am always hesitant about asking questions. But I’ve learned to do it anyway because I learn from asking questions!! Anyway, I cannot wait to see where I am in five or ten years from now! But until then, I’ll just enjoy the ride!
